How often should a carpet be cleaned?
The frequency of cleaning will vary from one household to another depending upon the number of occupants and the level of usage. At a minimum, you should get your carpets professionally cleaned once a year.
Why should I get my carpet cleaned?
Biological contaminants, volatile organic compounds, combustion products, dust mites, chemical contamination, outdoor pollutants, pesticides, allergens, grease and oil deposits, sand, soil, food particles, and bacteria will make its way into your carpet. This collection of contaminants become trapped in your carpet, which in turns may contaminate the air you breathe and becomes a potential health hazard in your home. Vaccuuming and home cleaning products will make some difference, but cannot thoroughly and completely remove such contaminants.
